An eclectic group of salesmen and women navigate the cutthroat sales industry in Palm Springs while balancing their challenging personal lives.

A satire that shines a glaring light on the world of real estate. A group of shameless real estate agents, navigate the dark underbelly of Palm Springs high society, where money is king and rules don’t apply. The humor is dark, but the consequences for our characters are dramatic and real as our agents struggle to keep their personal lives together while moving up in an attractive but dangerous world.

Seeking sharp actors who are quick enough to think on their feet. Improvisation and comedic skills are a plus.

Pilot presentation under SAG Micro Budget agreement.

SPECIAL NOTE:

Our Director and Co-Creator/Writer was awarded a directing fellowship with HBOAccess in 2020 and received a Fulbright Scholarship to study at the American Film Institute where he obtained his MFA in Directing. His award-winning work has appeared in dozens of film festivals throughout the world including the New York Film Festival, the Seattle Film Festival, Stockholm International Film Festival, and Manchester (England) Film Festival.

COVID-19 NOTICE: Production will comply with applicable health and safety laws and regulations relating to the COVID-19 pandemic, including having a COVID compliance officer on set. Additionally, production will be operating with a limited crew. Actors will be required to comply with Production’s then-applicable COVID-19 protocols, including any advance testing and negative test result requirements. Casting will be contingent upon receiving a negative pre-employment test result. Current protocols require testing approximately three days prior to the start of services. All protocols, including timing, and frequency of any required testing, are subject to change.

ROLES

GABBY – 5 to 8 years old, Hispanic female. (FILMS 1 day)

Inquisitive, bossy, and mature. Angelo and Grace’s daughter. She is often the smartest person in the room and a parent to her parents. A daddy’s girl who loves to read and doesn’t like when she’s spoken to as a child. Actor to provide clothing.

DICKY – 40 to 60 years old, all ethnicities male. (FILMS 1 day)

Insensitive, loud, and a major dick. A large and imposing man who smells like cigarettes. The owner of Dicky’s Used Cars who makes everyone around him miserable. Actor to provide clothing

BLAKE – 30 to 40 years old, all ethnicities male. (FILMS 1 day)

A slick real estate agent. Smooth talker and charming. Actor to provide clothing.

CLYDE COOPER – 60 to 70 years old, white male. (FILMS 1 day)

An adult film movie mogul. He’ll be in a motorized wheelchair. Must be comfortable with a bit of risqué situations-will be murdered in a bathroom scene.

RICO – 20 to 30 years old, Person of color. (FILMS 1 day)

Bodybuilder type, must be comfortable showing off his body-will be involved in a murder in a risqué manner. Bodyguard and boyfriend of one of our lead characters, Ruby Cooper, an adult film movie mogul.
