Ariana “Ari” Tejero is a Los Angeles-based journalist. Ariana is an Emmy award-winning cable news producer, the senior producer of breaking news and short-form content for Spectrum News 1 in LA as of August 2024, previously of its award-winning 5 and 6 p.m. news for 6 years. In February 2022, Ariana produced the inaugural mayoral debate for the City of Los Angeles. She led Spectrum News’s internship program from 2019 to 2022. She also represents Spectrum Networks Careers & Recruiting. Prior to Spectrum News, Ariana was the executive producer of NBC Palm Springs, where she got her start in news production her sophomore year of college. Ariana was a CNN cub reporter for HLN’s LA-based morning show during her senior year at university, before graduating valedictorian from Loyola Marymount University’s School of Film and Television in 2017. Ari was a Loyola Law School fellow for 2022 and part of LA TV Week’s inaugural “Top 40 Under 40” Class of 2022. She is pursuing an executive MBA through the London School of Economics and Political Science, 2025 cohort. Outside of the newsroom, Ari guest lectures at LMU and mentors journalism students through her alma mater, the TGR Foundation, and Kollab Youth.
