NEW PALM SPRINGS-FILMED LGBTQ TV SERIES SEEKS FUNDS
Creative Writer/Director/Actor & Filmmaker Ricky Reidling has a goal to bring more LGBTQ content to television with his second series; SOME KIND OF WONDERFUL, to be filmed in Palm Springs, California early December, 2017.
SOME KIND OF WONDERFUL is a gay romantic comedy TV series about three best friends; Sam, Tony & Steve, who made the transition from Los Angeles to Palm Springs to live a much more laid back way of life until Eddie, Sam’s younger brother moves in. Unknown to all, Eddie lives in the closet.
Reidling shares, “I’ve been in the entertainment industry for over 15 years, successfully creating feature films and the gay television series; BOYSTOWN, that currently airs on the cable network OUTtv in Canada and Europe. My goal with this new series is to get it picked up by a cable network here in the U.S. We have an amazing cast in place and everyone is passionate about the show and looking forward to filming before the year is up.”
Reidling is seeking to raise a modest $35,000 via the nonprofit crowd-sourcing platform, Hatchfund. Unlike traditional fundraising campaigns, contributions to SOME KIND OF WONDERFUL are 100% tax deductible and offer perks such as producer, co-producer, speaking roles, signed scripts and visits to the film set.
