Neighborhood Notification is a city ordinance in Palm Springs and many other cities, designed as a proactive measure to foster positive community relations.
When shooting in populated areas, productions must notify the communities in the area no later than 72 hours before shooting.
Productions must see that residents and businesses receive a letter containing the shooting times, parking restrictions and other vital information as required by the city.
All neighbors and business within a 300 foot radius of the production location, including residences across the street, must be notified.
