Pathways To Production™

A Greater Palm Springs Film Alliance & Film Office program, Pathways to Production™ brings the expertise of film and TV industry professionals to college and high school campuses in both round table forums and auditorium settings to explain the different production crafts and what one must do to enter the industry.

Producers, directors, make-up artists, art directors, etc., share their stories providing valuable insight including; tricks of the trade, top secret secrets, the villains of the industry, as well as tips for success, polishing your craft and how to build positive and lasting relationships with working industry professionals.

California On Location Awards™

Now in its 21st year, the California On-Location Awards™ (COLA) is the premier awards ceremo
ny saluting location professionals, production companies and public employees for professional excellence while working on location in the State of California. COLA is an event of Film Liaisons in California, Statewide (FLICS), a professional organization of film offices that promote and facilitate in-state filming. FLICS welcomes project inquiries and offers a variety of services to help expedite and assist productions.

COLA salutes Location Managers and Location Teams of the Year as well as City, County, State and Federal Public Employees for their efforts in local filming. To date, COLA has bestowed more than 250 honors.

Film in California Conference™

Hosted by the California Film Commission (CFC) and Film Liaisons in California Statewide (FLICS), a network of 40+ film commissioners from across the state – this is the largest event exclusively held to promote filming in California. This event normally takes place during the month of June.
